Staying in a vacation rental on Sugar Mountain? The Village Ski Shuttle provides free bus transportation service to the Sugar Mountain Resort Ski Lodge from many stops in the Village. If you are looking for a taxi or uber ride to the lodge, enjoy this free service funded by the Village of Sugar Mountain TDA (Tourism Development Authority). Previously known as the “Sugar Bus”.
Pick Up Locations
The main shuttle route runs the entire length of Grouse Moor Dr and Sugar Mountain Drive, so it covers both sides of the mountain. The bus stops for visitors staying at vacation condos in our communities including SugarTop, the Reserve, Misty Woods, Skyleaf, The Glen, Chestnut Ridge, Bee Branches, Timbers, the Crest and the Highlands. The shuttle runs weekends and holidays, reaching stops about every 30 minutes. To get estimated pick-up times, call the bus driver at 828-387-0785.

If you prefer to drive to the ski lodge, find free parking in nearby lots with a free shuttle operated by the resort. However, the parking areas will fill up on the busiest days of the season.
