The Village of Sugar Mountain Council has rescheduled their regular meeting of Tuesday, August 18, 2026 to Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at 251 Dick Trundy Lane. These are open meetings and public is encouraged to attend.
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
- Notice is hereby given that the Village Council of the Village of Sugar Mountain will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the meeting room, 251 Dick Trundy Lane, Sugar Mountain, North Carolina. Public comments will be heard on the proposed amendment to the zoning ordinances regulating the Resort-Commercial District. The proposed amendments would update the language governing the R-C Resort Commercial District to better reflect the intended function and operation of the district. The sections of the Zoning Ordinance proposed for amendment include: §154.110 – Architectural Design Standards, §154.068 – R-C Resort Commercial District, §154.021 – Height and Density, and §154.024 – One Principal Building on Any Lot. The proposed ordinance is available for inspection at the Village Hall located at 251 Dick Trundy Lane, Sugar Mountain, NC, during regular business hours or by contacting the Village Clerk at 1-828-898-9292 or clerk.zoning@seesugar.com.
