Enjoy a variety of free music concerts on summer Thursday evenings at Tate-Evans Park in downtown Banner Elk, just 3 miles from Sugar Mountain. Concerts in the Park is presented by the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce, with free admission and free parking. Concerts begin at 6:30 PM and end around 9 PM. Arrive early for the closest parking and top spots on the lawn.
Listen to a variety of music from southern rock to oldies, soul, country and funk. Bands are family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Wear your dancing shoes for the dance area in front of the stage. Bring your bring lawn chairs or blanket. Food, beer and wine vendors set up on site. Small picnic coolers are allowed, and beverages should be in plastic cups.
Pets are no allowed in the concert area nearest the stage, but they are welcome to join you in the adjacent park and greenway area. There’s also a playground in the park for kids to enjoy. Read more about Tate-Evans Park.
