The Clerk, under State Law, is held responsible for the proper recording and filing of all ordinances, resolutions, petitions, and other legal documents. The duties and responsibilities of the Clerk involve coordination and interaction with the Mayor, Village Council, Village Manager, Village Committees and the public. The Municipal Clerk, who is the custodian of all municipal records and the Village Seal, prepares agendas, and records proceedings of Council meetings and attests all documents issued by the Village. The Clerk is responsible for the maintenance of the village’s records management program, designed to maintain, protect, retain or dispose of town records. These actions are carried out in accordance with governmental regulations, legal requirements and the Village’s historical and reference needs. The Clerk is also responsible for a centralized records storage facility. Additional responsibilities include OSHA compliance and maintenance.

In addition to her Clerk duties, Ms. Floyd assists the Village Manager and Zoning Administrator in handling code enforcement and zoning administration ensuring compliance with the Village’s zoning codes and ordinances and assists the Finance Officer in payroll duties, banking, golf and tennis receipts, and supply purchasing.
